Here is a Debert style clovis point made from rare apple green Normanskill Chert from Eastern NY. Most Normanskill is dark greenish to black and the apple green colors are very rare. This point is fluted multiple times on both sides (as were the originals) and has a ground + polished base. A false patina was also added to mimic rust and to give it some authentic looking character. I will be shutting down my page on flintknappers.com this month, so if you like this point you'd better scoop it up soon. |
