This is an Obtuse Angle Platform Pipe. The Steatite is of fine quality and it's a really awesome color. It's a very uniform dark green variegated stone and it polished to an exceptional sheen. In addition it sparkles due to micro inclusions dispersed across the surface. The glitter like effect is subtle, though, not at all gaudy, just adding another facet to its beauty.
I really enjoyed carving this stone and was pleased with the outcome. I hope that the photos can represent the quality and beauty of this stone adequately. I will be happy to supply more photos if asked.
