Absolutely killer Dovetail. Knapped from a very unique piece of Buffalo River. I have knapped quite a bit of Buffalo river but i have never seen a piece like this- it almost looks like a piece of Horse Creek chert and a piece of Buffalo River got together and had a love child. Many things about it remind me more of Horse creek than Buffalo River but it is from a large piece of Buffalo river. In any case i spent a lot of time trying to get everything right with this piece. Great percussion work and some pressure edgework. Great dovetail form and outstanding colors! |
