Nicely knapped antique carrara glass blade anchors this collectors knife & stand. It looks black until a bright light is held behind…then it takes on a dusty olive color (a very scare color for this old glass). The handle is hard mahogany wood, with a bear paw motif that I carved & flamed into the side (sorry the picture is a little too dark). Carved finger notch & well thought-out handle design, make this & all my knives very comfortable to hold. Silver & turquoise beads on a soft leather lanyard round out the piece. The knife is 9 ¾” long, & is tightly glued together & well balanced to hold. All is hand rubbed to a nice luster. The “bear” stand IS included. As always, the knife come to you wrapped in a flannel cloth. |
