The photos by ... NO means ... due this piece justice! The metallic colors blend and change as the piece is turned with an outrageous sparkle. Even in a dimly lit room, the colors pop! I dulled the edges and tips so that it could be incorporated as a necklace pendant.
Before flintknapping the arrowhead, I first created the dichroic fused glass. I started to create the glass myself for two reasons (1. to extend my art work earlier into the process with the material itself 2. to bring down the cost of the material). Previously, for me to purchase the raw glass from another artist I would be charged about $45.00 for a piece to flake an arrowhead like this one!
