I actually made this out of a slightly metamorphosed slate, almost half way in between a slate and a phylite. the pieces are a lot tougher that your average slate or argillite but not as foliated as most phylites.
it's a sleek flat black point.
The point is wrapped with silver plated copper wire which is soldered for security. Just a heads up, the wire looses its silver coating and reveals a warm copper color. the string it is fastened to is black cotton with a double slip not to adjust to the size of your head and neck.
