Made from Bocote wood, a native tree from Mexico. Probably the finest knapped weapon I have ever made! Made entirely with natural materials available to the Meso Americans. The handle is wrapped with hand wrapped Yucca cordage. The obsidian blades were pressure removed from a core using an antler tipped chest crutch. The obsidian blades were set with Pine pitch glue. This weapon took me a full week to make. I shot a video of the whole process and downloaded it on Youtube at the following links:

This is a Museum grade replica.
Please note: This weapon is essentially a 4 foot long double sided razor blade! It must be handled with great care to avoid serious injury or cuts. Buyer assumes all risk and responsibility. Weapon must be kept out of reach of children. Never swing the weapon indoors, and when outdoors never swing it in close proximity to other people or animals.
Price includes shipping. Payment by cash, check or money order only. |
