This is an authentic reproduction Stillwell style point that is found in the Midwest. Much care and attention to detail went into the making of this point. The flaking pattern was copied from an authentic artifact down to the finest details of the micro-serrations that make up the edge work, and the basal grinding. The concavity of the base is not as deep as is found on most stillwells, but there are a few that have very little if any concavity to the base. The width to thickness ratio of this particular point is around 5.5 to 1. This is another point that will go in my keeper case if it doesn't sell. |
