Dimensions: Blade 2 1/4 inches, OAL 6 inches |
Here is a replica of an Aztec sacrificial knife. The blade is made of Porcelain Novaculite and the handle is of bone. The two are joined with a traditional evergreen resin adhesive. On the bone handle is the image of Quetzalcoatl the feathered serpent god. The 2 1/4 inch long snow white blade is just the perfect length for cutting through the human breast bone with out damaging the heart beneath, so that the heart could be extracted while still beating.
This is a lovely piece of work that will look good in any collection of Meso-American art or any pre-columbian art for that matter. If you are not a collector of such items then feel free to take this little beauty on your next out door adventure, as it is durable enough to aid you in processing any of the critters you may bag.
As always shipping is free to anywhere in the US. |
