This is a reproduction of a war axe. The flint axehead was knapped in the traditional way with stone and antler tools, and then set in the handle with pine pitch glue. The head was then wrapped to further secure it to the handle and add character with natural hemp cordadge. The grip portion of the handle is also wrapped in the natural hemp cord as well, to provide a bit more secure area to grip. Two coup feathers are attached to add to the beauty of this item.
