I began flintknaping in the early 1980's and have been at it ever since. I specialize in making accurate replicas of points and arrowheads from all over the world. I use primarily aboriginal tools, including hammerstones and antlers and occasionaly modern tools such as copper. Most all of my points are worked from chunks and nodules or raw un-heat treated stone using direct percussion and the edges are finished with pressure flaking. I never use flake over grinding (FOG) or lapidary equipment. The goal of my replicas are to match the flaking style and overall shape and edge work as closely as possible to the originals. The result is an authentic looking point that more closely matches the originals.
My work has been displayed in the Flintknapping Calendar for years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. I am also featured in the Lithic Artist Guild, journal #1. I have performed flintknapping scenes for 3 TV shows, including "Aztec Temple", " L.A. 10,000BC," and most recently "Warriors, Mayan Armegedon".
